Pastor
Rev. Mike Burdick is our
pastor. Baptized, confirmed, and ordained in Peoria, Illinois,
he's glad to be serving in Macomb. He and his wife,
Kathy, have four children - two boys and two girls. They came to
Macomb in August of 1997, and it was a homecoming of sorts. Mike
and Kathy met at WIU when they were students here in the early
eighties, and were active in the ministry of The Lutheran Student
Center.
Pastor Burdick earned his Master of Divinity Degree
from Concordia
Seminary, St. Louis in 1988, and then served Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church of Marshall, Minnesota for over nine years. His
return to Macomb was an opportunity to continue in a
congregational setting while also working with young people in
campus ministry - a real source of joy for
him. |
